2023 Tutor Recruitment for Foreign Language Tutoring Activity

 

  • Objective: Help students who need additional tutoring for their second foreign language and Chinese language courses.
  • Registration:
  1. Applicants: Students who have the ability to speak and teach Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, or French.
  2. Qualifications: The tutor must offer at least 8-15 hours of tutoring before May 29 (Monday) and attend a sharing meeting held by the Language Center on May 31, 15:30-17:30.
  3. Application Period: From now until March 27, 2023 (Monday)

  • Tutoring information:
  1. Matching: The Language Center will match tutors with students who are currently taking "Second Foreign Language" or "Chinese Language" courses during the 10th week. Each tutoring group will be arranged with 1-2 students. The Language Center will inform tutors the matching results by email.
  2. Time and Venue: Please do face-to-face tutoring. Tutor should arrange the time and place with the students. The Language Center will not provide a classroom.
  3. The content of the tutorials should be based on the content of the Second Foreign Language and Chinese Language courses.
  4. Activity records: After each tutoring lesson, tutors are required to fill out an activity record form and upload photos.
  5. The Language Center will provide payment according to the actual tutoring hours.
  6. Language exchange sharing meeting: The sharing meeting will be held from 15:30-17:30 on May 31, 2023 (Wednesday), and all participants are required to attend. The detailed information of the sharing meeting will be announced in May.
  • Notes:
  1. If there are any changes, the Language Center will post an announcement on the Language Center website. If there are unexpected or special situations during the tutoring time, the Language Center reserves the right to stop the activity immediately.

  • Remarks: Applicant should match one of the following requirements.

  1. Have studied the language for at least 180 hours
  2. Have attained an academic diploma or degree from a country of that second foreign language and are able to communicate in Chinese
  3. Come from the country where the language is spoken and are able to communicate in Chinese 

(JLPT) N4 or above

French

DELF A2 or above

Korean

TOPIK I Level 2 or above

Spanish

DELE A2 or above

Chinese

  1. Foreign students: Those who have taken ''Intermediate Chinese'' or “Advanced Chinese” at NKUHT
  2. Native speaker: be able to communicate in English.

Foreign students: TOCFL B3 or above
