2025 Tutor Recruitment for Foreign Language Tutoring Activity
- Registration:
- Applicants: Students who have the ability to speak and teach English, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, or French. Details provided in the Notes below.
- Qualifications:
- Tutors are required to attend a pre-counseling orientation session organized by the Language Center on Thursday, March 20, from 12:20-13:10.
- Tutoring must be finished before May 29 (Fri.).
- Tutors are required to attend a midterm seminar on April 23 (Wed.) from 12:20-13:10.
- Tutors and tutees are required to submit a reflective video of their experience.

- Tutoring information:
- Matching: The Language Center will match tutors with students who are currently taking English or Second Foreign Language courses. Each tutoring group will be arranged with 1-3 students. The Language Center will inform tutors the matching results by email.
- Time and Venue: Please do face-to-face tutoring (not online). Tutors should arrange the time and place with the students. The Language Center will not provide a classroom. All tutors need to finish at least 10 hours (per student) before May 29.
- The content of the tutorials should be based on the content of the English or Second Foreign Language courses.
- Activity records: After each tutoring lesson, tutors are required to fill out a paper activity record form and upload photos.
- The Language Center will provide certificates and rewards according to the actual tutoring hours:
- Awarded honorable mentions: 6 hours of tutoring earns 1 honorable mention, 12 hours earns 2 honorable mentions, 18 hours earns 3 honorable mentions, and 24 hours earns 4 honorable mentions. A maximum of 4 honorable mentions can be given.
- Service Hours for Scholarships: Service hours required for scholarships can be given. We are unable to provide on-campus internship service hours.
- Conditions that Do Not Count Towards Hours:
- Tutoring a single student for more than 2 consecutive hours or two students for more than 3 consecutive hours. Any excess hours will not be counted.
- Sessions not conducted face-to-face.
- Failure to upload photos or submit activity records
- All participants are required to submit a feedback video. Detailed information will be announced separately.
- Notes:
- If there are any changes, the Language Center will post an announcement on the Language Center website. If there are unexpected or special situations during the tutoring time, the Language Center reserves the right to stop the activity immediately.
